Saudis Plan Diplomatic Mission to Baghdad
JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA, Aug. 1 -- After four years of resisting diplomatic ties to Iraq, the Saudi Arabian government plans to send a mission to Baghdad to explore the possibility of opening an embassy there, a potentially significant first step in what U.S. officials hope will be increased efforts by Iraq's neighbors to stabilize the war-ravaged country.
